Yummy Pizza Crust

Oh how I love homemade pizza. We have it every two weeks or so and I love having my children make their own to have a canvas for self-expression.
The following recipe is for two large pizzas. You can put the whole thing on a cookie sheet for thicker dough, or break it up into smaller dough balls for individual pizzas.

YUMMY PIZZA CRUST

4 1/2 tsp Yeast
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 1/2 Cup Warm Water
3 Cups Flour
1 tsp Salt
1. Add Warm Water to a medium sized bowl. Water temperature should be about 110-120°F.
2. Add Yeast and Sugar to the bowl and stir. Let sit for 5 minutes or until yeast mixture looks frothy.
3. In a large mixing bowl, mix Flour and Salt.
4. Slowly add yeast mixture to the flour mixture using a dough hook attachment on low. Continue to stir, stopping to scrape the sides to incorporate all the flour. Dough should be slightly sticky and stretchy, but not enough to stick to your finger or the sides of the bowl. Add a little more flour if needed, up to 1/2 cup.
5. Split the dough in half. Oil a pizza pan and with a little flour dusted on your hands, work half the dough into a circle, working from the center out. Avoid touching the edges as much as possible to keep the crust from getting overworked.
6. Apply sauce and toppings and bake in 475°F oven for 10-13 min.
Classic Pizza: Our favorite pasta sauce is Barilla and we like to add whole milk mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, bacon, and pineapple to that.
We also like Chicken Alfredo Pizza: Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken, tomatoes, and after cooking, fresh basil.
For BBQ Chicken Pizza: red onion, chicken, cheese, and after cooking, fresh cilantro.
